Lysias in Phrygia

Hellenistic town "Lysias" founded ca 200 BC became an episcopal see in the Roman province of Phrygia Salutaris. Exact location of the town is uncertain. Earlier Lysias was located north-northeast of the Efekoy or southesat of Synnada between Arizi and Oynagan[Oynigan] villages. according to the Flavian conventus civium romanorum Lysias belonged to the conventus of Apamea¹.
