Tell Abil in Northern Jordan was Ancient Raphana or Abila of Decapolis during Roman Empire times. It is located on the site of the village of Beit Ras, divided by the road. Excavations prove  that the site was inhabited more than 5000 years ago in the early Bronze Age.
