Designated area for future archeological digging since May 2025. (Flurname: Röhlingstränk)  Many findings of roman artifacts since at least the beginning of the 18th century. Between 1964 and 2004 several small items were found:

  • Iron-, bronze- and tinparts
  • Bronzestaff with bronzehead
  • two bronze rings
  • two coins
  • Fragments of a column base
  • Tegulae / tiles
  • Iron nails
  • square stone
  • Terra sigillata

Arieal survey suggest a possible building and maybe a 33m wall. The main building is estimated to be at least 561 square meters in size, with at least 10 rooms. Unfortunately, no real conclusions can be drawn until further excavations. Most likely a villa rustica inhabatied between the 1st and 4th century CE.

Further indication of a villa, are the findings of a burial site 180m north-west of the villa (Flur: Neue Tränk, near the wall), where two roman columns were found. One of these columns can be found on public display on the main street of Cronenberg (Hauptstraße 15).
