Burç Monastery containing the Mor Michael Church was built in the 4th century. The church took its name from Mor Mihayel whose grave is opposite the church entrance. Next to this aregraves of Mor Mihayel's sister and Mor Mihayel's teacher, St. Mor Yusuf.
