Katirkulesi was discovered during the Kütahya; Bilecik and Eskisehir survey conducted by T. Efe in 1994.. Hoyuk t measures 13 m in height and 250 m in diameter. Sherds date back to EBA II-III; the MBA and the Classical Periods.
