The cemetery of Kamieńczyk was known already in the 1930s, but systematic research was carried out in 1975–1979 by Teresa Dąbrowska. A well-preserved site consists of almost 400 cremation graves. It is one of the largest necropolises of the Przeworsk culture in central Poland. It was in use from the end of the 2nd century BC. (phase A2), and was eventually abandoned in the second half of the 2nd century AD. (phase B2/C1).
