Ançã limestone milestone, found in 1980, fragmented into two very unequal parts. It is currently stored in the "Villa Romana - Espaço Museu". Roughly cylindrical in shape, almost quadrangular in the section corresponding to the lower part, equipped with a kind of stalk to facilitate fixing to the ground, the landmark shows marked wear. The attribution of the milestone to Decius, emperor who ruled between 249 and 251, does not raise any problems. The indication of the distance has as its starting point the city of Conimbriga, which is approximately twelve kilometers from the location of the find, thus verifying that the initiative to place milestones belonged, on this section of the Olisupo-Bracara road, to the municipal authorities
