Kabul western and southern old wall

Series of stone and mud-brick walls, running along Sher Darwaza and Asma'i ridges. Possible Hunnic origin, rebuilt in Mughal and colonial times. Partially destroyed.

Achaemenid, Graeco-Bactrian and Indo-Greek, Hunnic, Turk and Hindi Shahi, medieval Islamic, Mongol and post-Mongol old city. Uncertain character of the site due to modern overbuilding.

Tepe Narenj (BALL-2268) (1 km)

Hunnic, Hindu Shahi Buddhist large monastery complex, that remained active until the Muslim conquest. Comprises one large stupa and five small ones. Excavaetd by Paiman (2004-12).
