The remains of Calcolithic, Earlry Bronze Age,Hittite, Phrygian and Classical Periods has been found in modern settlement of Bitik Village in Kazan District in Central Anatolia. Partly destroyed by the modern village, a small excavation was conducted in 1942 by Remzi Oğuz Arik in 1942. S. Omura in 1994re-surveyed the site after a heavy destructions resulting from illicit diggings.
