Annotations

French archaeologist Jean Clédat, who discovered in 1910, late Greek inscriptions on a lintel that indicated the presence of the Zeus-Kasios Temple. Unfortunately he was unsuccessful in uncovering the temple.

According to the inscriptions found in the area the Emperor Hadrian (117-138) renovated the temple and Titus Falvius Titianus, procurator of Alexandria, carried out the work. .
