The double-mastaba of Meresankh [Mersyankh] III (the grand-daughter of Kheops-Khufu c.2600-2555 BC, and wife of Khephren-Khafre c.2548-2522 BC.) in the eastern necropolis of Giza was discovered on 23 April 1927 by George Andrew Reisner. It contains a surface mastaba, a stone built chapel and a funerary chamber.
