The hot spring is dated to the Late Roman and Early Byzantine Periods with its architectural elements and inscriptions in the central pool still in use. It is the only historical Roman spa in Çorum, although its original feature has been disturbed by additions and repairs. The second pool, which is not used in the hot spring today, carries the architectural features of the Roman Period with its terracotta braided brick dome with horasan mortar, column, column head and bases.
