Annotations

The İzozoel Church, located in Altıntaş (Keferze) village of Midyat, was built, according to a belief, in the early 6th century by the architects Theodosius and Theodore, sons of Shufnayn, the architect of the Mor Gabriel Monastery. However, according another tradition this church was built in the 8th century, when Tur Abdin was in its heyday.
