The collection of the famous Jesuit scholar/scientist, once kept in the Collegio Romano, was dissolved after the unification of Italy (1870). The Etruscan objects ended in the Villa Giulia, the Roman objects in the National Museum. The Egyptian finds are still in the Collegio Romano.

Marble Foot of via di S. Stefano del Cacco This marble foot, more than one meter long, of which the Romans are particularly fond, gave its name to the street. It is what remains of a colossal Roman statue that must have been eight meters high.
