Within the southern corner of the 4.2ha timber fort, a circular (palisade)-ditch with a width of 0.5m was discovered. The interior of around 47m in diameter was dug a little into the ground, cutting earlier barracks. As the distance to the contemporary earth and timber defences was only around 2m it is unlikely that more than a few surrounding seats existed. Even less is there space for a bank. Despite the unconvincing discussion of the dating of the phases construction in Flavian times is most likely. lt has been compared to the gyrus at The Lunt. The garrisons of the fort are unknown.
