The New Carhedral at Bosra was built in the 4th century on the remains of a 1st century Nabataean temple, dedicated to Dushares (Jupiter). The church had a square central body of 45 meters on each side, in which a circular room was inscribed. The basilica had a wooden roof. Later a second church with three naves was added to the basilica.
