The early beginnings of the settlement at Talavash Tepe dates back to  the Late Bronze Age and continued through the Early Iron Age and into the Assyrian Imperial Period when occupation at Talavash Tepe abrupty ended. During the Hellenistic period  it served as a cemetery.
