The Gallio Inscription is a collection of nine fragments of  a copy of the Roman emperor Claudius` decree, discovered in Delphi near Apollo temple. In 52 AD Claudius adressed to L. Iunius Gallio. Gallio was the proconsul of Achaia while Paul was in Corinth1.  From the inscription can be deduced that Gallio was the proconsul of Achaia in the previous year2.
