The Heroon of Atilia Pomptilla known also as Grotta della Vipera - Viper's Cave is an hypogeum built by the Roman Lucio Cassio Filippo in honour of  Atilia Pomptilla, his wife. The sepulcre dates back  between the second half of the first century BC and the first half of the second century A.D. The altenative names derives from the image of two nakes carved on the pediment.
