Archaeological site. Founded in the 4th century BC, it became an important port of the kingdom of Hadramaut.
This was till centuries ago (before the entrance from de portugues) one of the largest seaport in de Dhofar region, thanks to the frankincesence trade. As the lagune silted up, the harbour had to be closed and the city abolished.
