"The Deserted Village of the Church" describes an ancient settlement, whose remains are very few. One single building remained more or less undestroyed and occasionally gives sheppards and their lifestock a shelter. It seems to be erected in roman times, most probably when Jebel Druze had its economic and political peak, i.e. 4th and 5th century. Today, the area is used by the bedouins as a graveyard and stones from the former buildings are recycled to built the simple tombs.
