The "Castle of Shirin," a Sasanid and medieval fortified settlement, traditionally attributed to Khusraw II and his favorite wife Shirin. The Ban Qal'eh citadel is one of the attractions of the larger complex, which also included the Chahar Qapu temple and Khusraw's Palace.
