Annotations

The cult image Aphrodite of Aphrodisias was once worshiped in her temple. This statue recalls the ancient Carian origins. The stiff  pose and frontallity with arms close along the body and hands extend this cult image belongs to the old Anatolian heritage of  religious conception .
