Annotations

A 2nd millennium BC Hittite dam.. A dam built by the Hittite King Tudhaliya IV in 1240 BC. According to the Hittite inscription in Luwian hieroglyphs found during excavation of the area that building was dedicated to the Hittite goddess Ḫepat.
