Saidnaya, Roman mausoleum, rock cut tombs, temple blocks

The area of the convent of Saidnaya and the surrounding monasteries and town contain, according to Aliquot¹, remains of a ruined Roman mausoleum, rock cut tombs and extensive use of blocks of stone from temples in the area.
