Notre-Dame church is built on the cella of a Roman temple. A large altar is incorporated into the wall, a dedication to Jupiter Heliopolitanus can be seen with other blocks scattered along the road, and another altar is dedicated to Hadaranus of Niha.1. See the survey published by Laure Salloum (2016)2.
NB: This village is apparently (at least as far as Google is concerned) also named Deir el Qamar.
