Annotations

Mixed finds from an excavation in 1931 include a statue of Hermes Heliopolitanus, fragments of Palmyrian funerary objects, an Aramaic inscription (PAT0154), five statues of children and other items possibly the product of a sanctuary connected with the nearby spring, or else  collected at a later date and deposited at this site.  A number of large worked blocks of stone suggest a possible temple sanctuary1.
