As the Chew Green camps overlap and descriptions are sometimes confusing, it is appropriate to better define them.
Camp 1 is a large 885 x c.935' marching camp and thought to be the oldest of the camps at this location. Camp 4 is built completely inside camp 1, and the fortlet and annex have destroyed its NE corner.
