Annotations

One of two bathhouses at Deir el Qal'a with a surviving mosaic floor. Taylor offers a photograph taken in or before 1967 (plate 891) showing the mosaic in tolerably good condition. Since then, parts of it have been torn up and some carried away. See the temple of Jupiter-Baal for references and more detail.
