Sos Höyük is a mound located 24 km northeast of Erzurum city center and 13 km west of Pasinler. It is named the Sos Höyük since the old name of the nearby Yiğittaşı Village was Sosköyü. The mound is occupied by contemporary settlement. The site was inhabited since the Late Chalcolithic Age. The main excavations were carried out between 1994 and 2000 under the direction of Antonio Sagona.
