Maydos-Kilisetepe on the Dardanelles coast of the Chersonesus Thracica - Gallipoli Peninsula. The very early occupation of the site dates back to the Early Bronze Age III ie.c. 2000 BC. The first settlement was surrounded with a defensive wall. The buildings of mud-brick walls were based on stone foundations. During the Late Bronze Age the mud-brick walls had relief-decrated surfaces.
