Tomba Campana on  Monte Michele discovered 1842–1843 by Giovanni Pietro Campana dates to the end of the VIIth century  contains the one of the oldest known Etruscan frescoes. Gorge Dennis diecribed the tomb  in his work The Cities and Cemeteries of Etruria in 1848.
