Saint Hripsime Church is one of the oldest churches in Armenia. It is dedicated to Saint Hripsim (died c. 290). Originally it was a mausoleum of St. Hiirpsime, built by Catholicos Sahak the Great in 395 AD. In 618 a tetraconch church completed by Catholicos Komitas.
