Annotations

Nevalı Çori  was a settlement occupied from Aceramic Neolithic period [Pre-Pottery Neolithic B].  The site was excavated by Harald  Hauptmann during seven excavation seasons between1983 and 1991. Now flooded due to the construction of the Atat ̈urk barrage. The excavations yielded ffife early Neolithic layers (I to V) covered by layers from the Halaf and Early Bronze Age).
