Annotaties

Aliquot, who provides full details, gives this as temple E1.  Livius2 provides a short description and a good photograph which can be compared with the one published in Aliquot. Aliquot also publishes a picture of the coin of Philip the Arab mentioned by Livius.

NB: Cheikh Abdallah hill on which this temple and its staircase are located is very close to a Lebanese army barracks. In these troubled times, the visitor is strongly advised to be cautious about taking photographs, and to ask permission if in doubt.
