The Lion's Mosaic In this mosaic, a lion is dragging a stag it has killed. The lion's tail has been cut off by one edge of the mosaic. This tells archaeologists that it may have been bought as a ready-made panel and trimmed to fit the room.

Sea god mosaic The mosaic is known as the sea god mosaic – the face on it could be the god Oceanus – or it might be Cerunnos the god of the woods. It was made around AD160-90. This mosaic is on display in Verulamium Museum. It was found in the same Roman town house as the mosaic in the hypocaust room.

Verulamium Forum Inscription The Verulamium Forum Inscription (tentatively dated to AD 79, during the reign of the emperor Titus) is one of the many Roman inscriptions in Britain. It has been reconstructed as a large dedication slab (approx. 4.3m x 1.0m) from eight small fragments found in 1955 during construction work in the yard of St Michael's School, St Albans. The find-spot lay near the north-east entrance to the forum and basilica of Verulamium (modern St Albans).

The inscription is notable because it mentions Gnaeus Julius Agricola, the Roman governor of Britain from AD 77-84, who is otherwise known from a biography written by his son in law Tacitus.
