Dur Kurigalzu (Aqar Quf)

Dur Kurigalzu was founded by a Kassite king of Babylon, Kurigalzu I (XV/XIV cent. BC),  and was abandoned after the fall of the Kassite dynasty. Dur- is an Akkadian term meaning "fortress of".
