Mauryan to early medieval hill settlement on the right bank of Jambil river. Excavated by D. Faccenna in 1963. Identified as part of the fortified sector or “upper-town” of the urban area of ancient Mungali. Since mostly covered by urbanisation.
Remains.
Buried remains of an ancient inahbited area, at the junction of the Saidu and Jambil rivers, partially surveyedd and excavated by IsMEO in the 1950's. Possible location of ancient and medieval Mungali city.
