Annotations

The baptistery of Lechaion tripartite complex connected  to the Early Christian basilica at the ancient port of Lechaion, near Corinth. It  was likely built before the main church. As one of the most elaborate and well-decorated early Christian baptisteries in the Eastern Mediterranean. The baptistery included a main octagonal font, into which candidates would descend via a staircase.
