inscription
In 1908, an inscription was found in the district "on the wall" in the district Liesenich, which is attached to three stone blocks. The middle part, a limestone, is a spolia, which carries from first use an inscription probably a temple dedication. On the back and the two side blocks of red sandstone you will find the (incomplete) building inscription of the burgus:

Qui burgum (a)edificaverunt Lup(ulinius) Am/minus pr(a)efectus Sab(inius) Acceptio Vid(ucius) / Perpetu(u)s Fl(a)v(ius) Tasgillus CO() Lepidus / Min(ucius) Luppus cum C(a)es(ius) Ursulus paratus / est Victorino Augusto et / Sa(n)cto co(n)s(ulibus) X Kal(endas) Iunias.

Particularly interesting is that here the naming of a fortification as burgus by an archaeological find is given. In addition to the builders here are also Victorinus, one of the emperors of the Empire Galliarum and his co-cons Sa (n) ctus called. The inscription offers an accurate dating to the 23rd of May. In the older research the year of construction is called 268 or 269, in the younger literature the year 270 is favored.

fortification
The burgus itself could not be localized and described until nearly a century later with the help of a magnetometer prospection. There is a rectangular 13 × 18 m internal building surrounded by a square enclosure with rounded corners and two trenches. This design is also observed in other burgi, the central building can be interpreted as a tower.

hoards
Near the fortification in 2011 two hoards were excavated. A depot with bronze vessels as well as ceramic vessels with more than 25,000 bronze coins of Constantine time were discovered.
