Annotations

The aqueduct was built as a water supply for the 2nd Legion's fort at Dorchester. Later, when Durnovaria was built, it was used to supply the town.

Het aquaduct was oorspronkelijk gebouwd als watervoorziening voor het 2e Legioen gelegerd op het fort bij Dorchester. Toen later de Durnovaria gebouwd werd, werd het ook benut om de stad van water te voorziren.
