Annotations

Thracian castle of Eski Polos was used during  Hellenistic and Roman periods also. According Ö. Ertuğrul the fortress looks rather like a typical Thracian fortress although was used later until Byzantine period. Commonly the castle  is estimated to have been built in 4th century before the Hellenistic Period, during the Philip II Period
