The site of Aşağı Pınar was recovered by M. Özdoğan in 1980. Finds of Asagipinar Mound dating back from the Late Neolithic Age to the 4th century BC. Excavations yielded the uninterrupted sequence of settlement from 6400 to 4300 BC. ie. From Late Neolithic period to Early Chalcolitic.
