The Early Byzantine bishop’s basilica from the second half of the Vth century AD is located in its southern suburb of Perperikon. The uncovered structure is 15 meters wide and 25 meters long. Nikolay Ovcharov estimates the whole three-nave basilica would measure 35-40 meters of lenght.
