Annotations

The Tatarlı Tumulus is located some 30 km northeast of Kelainai currently Dinar. It is six meters high and has a diameter of 50 meters. The wooden burial chamber was completely covered with high-quality Persian-influenced wood paintings. After illegal excavators in 1969 the  painted wooden parts were smuggled abroad and later returned to Turkey. Currently in Afyonhisar museum
