Site of the the ancient Alexandria Caucasia a treasure of some 200 sophisticated Greco-Gandharan (2nd cent AD) ivory objects was found. Most likely the contents of a warehouse of an exporter of ivories carved in the area. The panels and sculptures depict scenes of ordinary and royal court life.
