Annotations

Tlos  was one of the important cities of Lycia, (and one of the six cities forming the Lycian League)  that was founded according to tradition by Tloos, one of the four sons of Tremiles and Praxidike of the Greek myths. The city in the Lycian language read as Tlawa, and Dalawa in the Hittite sources is identified with Tlos. Even so the place of the city is occupied  from  the Neolithic period.
