After being destroyed at the same time as the neighbouring station in the late fourth century, the villa was restored during the reign of Justinian, when a fortress was built on the site.
This villa, which covers an area of some 15,000 square metres, dates to the late Roman period, probably the early third century, and contains a number of buildings arranged around a central peristylium yard.
