Annotations

Aharköy Höyük is a mound, 2 km southwest of Yeşilyurt Village, formerly known as Aharköy. The hill is 100 meters in diameter and 4-5 meters high. It is one of the smaller mounds of the region. It is 5 km north of Demircihöyük, which is referred to as Sarıket Cemetery in some archaeological sources. During the laying of the natural gas line, the western part of the mound was partially destroyed.                                   During the survey by Turan Efe in 1988 the finds from an Early Bronze Age II ,  III and a small number of Phrygian and Classical Period sherds were collected.
