Annotations

The late antique structure is one of the oldest segmental arch bridges in the world. The 360 m long bridge crosses on 28 arches the Alakır Çayı, 26 of which being segmental arches with an average span to rise ratio of 5.3 to 1. Today, the structure is buried up to the vaults by river sedimentation. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bridge_near_Limyra
